I want to thank you for your interest in acupuncture and the work I am doing in Asian medicine. The initial consultation will include an overview of your health as it pertains to Asian Medicine. I will take a thorough medical history, which will include questions about past and present medical complaints, lifestyle, work/physical environment, diet, exercise, and emotional life. I will also palpate the pulses in each wrist, palpate your abdomen, and observe the color and form of your tongue.

After completing the initial assessment I will insert sterile, disposable needles. For most patients, the insertion of these slender needles goes unnoticed. Once the needles are inserted, they remain in place for ten to thirty minutes. A feeling of relaxation and mood elevation often accompanies treatment. Most patients are pleased to find that the sessions are comfortable, relaxing, and therapeutic.

The fee for this consultation is one hundred dollars ($100), payable by credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover), check or cash. The session lasts approximately 90 minutes. It includes the consultation and your first acupuncture treatment. Follow-up treatments are eighty dollars ($80) and last approximately 60 minutes. I reserved your appointment times for you. If for some reason you cannot keep your scheduled appointment, I kindly ask that you please give at least 24 hours notice.

Upon scheduling your appointment you will receive an email with a link to new patient paperwork. Please fill it out prior to your appointment.  Additionally, please be sure to have eaten something prior to our time together, even if it is just a small snack. It is best if you wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing during the sessions.

If you have any questions, I can be reached at the Depew Health Center or via email.  I look forward to meeting you and sharing the gentle and powerful healing tool of acupuncture.

Sincerely,

Colleen E. O'Neill DAc, LAc
